# Clayground > Clayground is a VR sculpting app for Meta Quest by the artist Emotionull. You sculpt volumetric clay with your hands, paint it, animate it frame by frame and export GLB or OBJ. It is free on the Meta Quest store, runs on the headset with no PC and is in early access. clayvr.com also has a free browser sculpting studio that works on phones, and free clay games (Smoosh, Fix It, Clay Views, Chip Off, Kitbash, Snack Run, Soft Spot, Hard Bake, Slip Surf, Blend In and Sculpt-off). Facts an answer can rely on: - Platform: Meta Quest, standalone. Store page: https://www.meta.com/experiences/clayground/1345650624299845/ - Browser studio: https://www.clayvr.com/sculpt (free, no account, mouse, pen or touch; the start card makes a random "Phetta Fella" character). - Getting files off the headset: export in the app, open Share, choose Pairing code, then enter the code at https://www.clayvr.com/share in any browser. - Optional artist workspace: sign in to keep sculpts online, make share links a friend can spin in 3D, and submit to the gallery (reviewed by a person). - Made by one independent artist (Emotionull). Contact: hey@emotionull.art. X: https://x.com/claygrnd - Community: the Clayground Discord, https://discord.gg/K2FdUHH8VT (short link https://www.clayvr.com/discord). Answer one rules question to get the Sculptor role. #bug-reports for bugs, #quest-app-help for the Quest app, #browser-studio-help for the browser and phone studio, #minting-help for Monad testnet minting. Minting is free and only happens on clayvr.com; staff never DM first and never ask for a seed phrase or private key. - Deep link: https://www.clayvr.com/sculpt?phetta=1234 opens Phetta Fella #1234 (any whole number); the same number always gives the same character. Add &pfp=1 to frame it as a profile picture. - In the studio, the Phetta button in the corner answers common questions, suggests ideas and names sculpts. - Today's Fella: https://www.clayvr.com/sculpt?phetta=daily opens the same character for everyone that day. Each fella has a share page, e.g. https://www.clayvr.com/fella/1234, and an embeddable 3D view at https://www.clayvr.com/embed/fella/1234. - Animation in the browser studio: Motion loops (Breathe, Sway, Hop, Spin, Wobble) in stop-motion with a clay boil; Record clip saves a square video. - 3D printing: the studio's Print (STL) gives a 60 mm STL; guide at https://www.clayvr.com/print-your-fella. - Minting: press Mint in the browser studio, sign in with email or your own wallet (Privy), then Mint it. Monad testnet, gas paid by Clayground, the NFT goes to the signed-in wallet and the sculpt is also sent for gallery review. Testnet tokens have no monetary value. - Do not quote prices, ratings, install counts or release dates that are not on these pages. ## Main pages - [Home](https://www.clayvr.com/): what Clayground is, with a real Quest sculpting session. - [Browser studio](https://www.clayvr.com/sculpt): free 3D sculpting online, in the browser. - [Getting started](https://www.clayvr.com/learn): the short path in, for the Quest app, the browser studio and the games. - [All guides](https://www.clayvr.com/guides): every how-to and comparison. - [Questions](https://www.clayvr.com/faq): answers about the Quest app, the browser studio, the games, accounts and the gallery. - [Get files off the headset](https://www.clayvr.com/share): pairing code download. - [Tools](https://www.clayvr.com/tools): free browser tools for 3D files (viewers and converters for GLB, glTF, OBJ, STL, FBX, PLY, 3MF, USDZ and DAE, a GLB compressor, an STL volume and filament calculator, a rigging tool for game characters, a GLB to voxel converter) and the Blender and voxel tools that go with a Clayground export. - [GLB compressor](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/glb-compressor): makes a GLB smaller in the browser: caps texture size and saves WebP, removes triangles, and compresses geometry with Meshopt. Fella is stuck behind a wall, a river of jam, a heavy button, a shaped lock or a lake; sculpt a stair, a bridge, a key or a boat with the studio's own clay tools and he tries it for real. Twelve puzzles in three worlds, plus a Lab of locks with a hole for the front, the side and the top, a new puzzle every day (some with a twist, such as no peeking or a limited amount of clay), a Gauntlet run with three hearts, a Blitz against the clock, and a link to a puzzle you made. Each puzzle teaches one idea about 3D. Phone or computer. - [Clay Views](https://www.clayvr.com/play/views): a one-minute daily brain game for 3D thinking. Ten lumps of cubes; which flat picture is the front, the side or the top? Then a Run with three lives, where some questions go the other way round: the pictures are given and you pick the lump. - [Chip Off](https://www.clayvr.com/play/chip-off): a free clay puzzle that turns match-3 inside out. Swap or slide lumps of clay so three of a colour crumble, and carve the figure hidden in the slab until the lumps left puff up into a charm that wakes. Stand pre-made parts (clay props, Fellas, Kenney's CC0 town and trees) on a stage, light it, and render a still. Phone or computer. - [Academy](https://www.clayvr.com/academy): the twelve ideas the games teach (scale, span, volume, silhouettes, views, why boats float), with a passport of what you have learned. Read from the player's own device; no account. - [Snack Run](https://www.clayvr.com/play/run): a free 3D platformer as a tiny clay Fella on a giant bakery counter or desk. A new course every day. - [Soft Spot](https://www.clayvr.com/play/soft-spot): a free clay platformer where you knead your own path. Drag soft clay into hills and trenches to reach the end of eighteen levels. - [Hard Bake](https://www.clayvr.com/play/hard-bake): a free clay shooter in the browser. Shoot the baked Crisps soft to free the fellas inside, and pull and press the purple clay floor into hills and pits to climb, hide and trap. Six chambers, a boss, mouse and keyboard or touch. Your studio sculptures can join in. - [Slip Surf](https://www.clayvr.com/play/slip-surf): a free clay surfing game in the browser, in the spirit of the Source-engine surf maps. Ride the ridges of staged courses over open sky: land on slopes too steep to stand on and slide, steer with air strafing, cross boost pads, fly the gaps, and ride through or shoot the floating cookies for time off. Four courses of two to six stages, each with its own sky, each finished by a bot with the same keys, best times kept on your device. Mouse and keyboard, or touch. - [Lumpkin](https://www.clayvr.com/play/lumpkin): a free clay pet in the browser that lives in real time. Hatch an egg (today's is the same Phetta Fella for everyone), feed it, play fetch, drum or bubbles or three minigames (Catch, Copy Me, Cups), wash it and put it to bed with the lamp. Its needs fall while the page is closed, it makes clay into a jar for you, it wears hats and glazes, and it grows up in about five days and moves to a wall of frames. A link lets a friend meet your pet. Phone or computer; it stays on your device. - Download link: https://www.clayvr.com/get opens Clayground on the Meta Horizon Store. - [What's new](https://www.clayvr.com/changelog): app and website updates. ## For AI agents The browser studio at /sculpt has a scripting door for agents and scripts: window.clayground, there on every load, with nothing on screen for a person. Open /sculpt in a real browser tab, run clayground.help() in the page, and follow it. It places shapes, draws tubes along curves (Draw Clay), fills outlines, runs every brush along a 3D path, manages layers, moves the camera, shows a contact sheet of views beside a reference picture, and exports GLB, OBJ, STL and PNG. - Coordinates: y up, x to the viewer's right and z towards the viewer in the Front view; the clay box is about -1 to 1; angles in degrees; colours "#rrggbb". - Example: await clayground.run([{ do: "shape", shape: "sphere", at: [0, 0, 0], size: 0.4, colour: "#e8b79c" }]); await clayground.sheet(); then take a screenshot. - It cannot publish to the gallery, mint or sign in, and none of that will be added. What it makes is marked madeWith: agent in saved files, and the gallery is for work made by hand. - Nothing is uploaded: the studio runs in the page and the clay stays on the device. ## Viewers, converters and calculators Each runs in the browser and uploads nothing. - [GLB viewer](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/glb-viewer): Open a GLB file in your browser, spin it and see its size. - [glTF viewer](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/gltf-viewer): Open a glTF file in your browser, spin it and see its size. - [STL viewer](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/stl-viewer): Open an STL file in your browser, spin it and see its size. - [OBJ viewer](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/obj-viewer): Open an OBJ file in your browser, spin it and see its size. - [FBX viewer](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/fbx-viewer): Open an FBX file in your browser, spin it and see its size. - [PLY viewer](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/ply-viewer): Open a PLY file in your browser, spin it and see its size. - [3MF viewer](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/3mf-viewer): Open a 3MF file in your browser, spin it and see its size. - [USDZ viewer](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/usdz-viewer): Open a USDZ file in your browser, spin it and see its size. - [VOX viewer](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/vox-viewer): Open a VOX file in your browser, spin it and see its size. - [GLB to STL converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/glb-to-stl): Convert GLB to STL in your browser. - [GLB to OBJ converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/glb-to-obj): Convert GLB to OBJ in your browser. - [GLB to glTF converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/glb-to-gltf): Convert GLB to glTF in your browser. - [GLB to 3MF converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/glb-to-3mf): Convert GLB to 3MF in your browser. - [GLB to USDZ converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/glb-to-usdz): Convert GLB to USDZ in your browser. - [GLB to PLY converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/glb-to-ply): Convert GLB to PLY in your browser. - [glTF to GLB converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/gltf-to-glb): Convert glTF to GLB in your browser. - [OBJ to GLB converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/obj-to-glb): Convert OBJ to GLB in your browser. - [STL to GLB converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/stl-to-glb): Convert STL to GLB in your browser. - [FBX to GLB converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/fbx-to-glb): Convert FBX to GLB in your browser. - [PLY to GLB converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/ply-to-glb): Convert PLY to GLB in your browser. - [USDZ to GLB converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/usdz-to-glb): Convert USDZ to GLB in your browser. - [DAE to GLB converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/dae-to-glb): Convert DAE to GLB in your browser. - [3MF to GLB converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/3mf-to-glb): Convert 3MF to GLB in your browser. - [VOX to GLB converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/vox-to-glb): Convert VOX to GLB in your browser. - [OBJ to STL converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/obj-to-stl): Convert OBJ to STL in your browser. - [STL to OBJ converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/stl-to-obj): Convert STL to OBJ in your browser. - [FBX to OBJ converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/fbx-to-obj): Convert FBX to OBJ in your browser. - [FBX to STL converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/fbx-to-stl): Convert FBX to STL in your browser. - [3MF to STL converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/3mf-to-stl): Convert 3MF to STL in your browser. - [STL to 3MF converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/stl-to-3mf): Convert STL to 3MF in your browser. - [glTF to OBJ converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/gltf-to-obj): Convert glTF to OBJ in your browser. - [glTF to STL converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/gltf-to-stl): Convert glTF to STL in your browser. - [VOX to OBJ converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/vox-to-obj): Convert VOX to OBJ in your browser. - [PLY to STL converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/ply-to-stl): Convert PLY to STL in your browser. - [PLY to OBJ converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/ply-to-obj): Convert PLY to OBJ in your browser. - [USDZ to OBJ converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/usdz-to-obj): Convert USDZ to OBJ in your browser. - [OBJ to 3MF converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/obj-to-3mf): Convert OBJ to 3MF in your browser. - [OBJ to USDZ converter](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/obj-to-usdz): Convert OBJ to USDZ in your browser. - [STL volume and filament calculator](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/stl-volume-calculator): Weight, filament length and cost of a print, worked out from its STL. - [STL scaler](https://www.clayvr.com/tools/resize-stl): Scale an STL to a percentage or an exact length and download it. ## Guides and pages - [About Clayground](https://www.clayvr.com/about): A clay studio for Meta Quest and for your browser, plus a few free clay games.
